Common issues, response times, and how to get the fastest help.
We handle the most common campus EV problems: battery not holding charge, slow or failed charging, warning lights on the dashboard, unusual range drops, AC/heating issues tied to the battery, and error codes after a public charge session. If your car is not safe to drive, call our 24-hour support line immediately.
Diagnosis submissions with a clear photo and description are reviewed within 4 hours on weekdays and 8 hours on weekends. EV charging, consultation, and buyer-assist waitlist entries receive a confirmation email within minutes, followed by a personal response within 1 business day. For urgent roadside issues, call +1-443-586-5843 any time.
Tell us the make, model, and year of your EV, describe when the issue started, and list any dashboard warning lights or error codes. Include details like charging location, charge level, and whether the problem happens every time or only in specific conditions.
Upload clear, well-lit photos of the dashboard warning lights, the charging port and cable connection, the charge screen showing percentage or error, and any visible damage to the battery area or underbody. One photo is required, but 2–3 different angles help our engineers diagnose faster. Keep each file under 5 MB.
Every submission is reviewed by a certified EV engineer on the WakaVolt team. You will receive a written assessment by email, and if an on-campus inspection is needed, we will schedule a slot and send you a confirmation with location and time.
